Law Society of Alberta
Provides information to guide you in finding and working with a lawyer. The Lawyer Referral Service assists members of the public in finding a lawyer. The Lawyer Referral Operator will provide contact information for three lawyers practicing in the applicable field of law. The potential client can then make an appointment with one, two, or all three of those lawyers. There is no charge for the first half-hour interview with each lawyer. At the end of the half-hour session, the potential client and lawyer may discuss the possibility of continuing a business relationship at full fee rates.

Legal Aid Alberta (LAA) provides a range of legal services to low-income Albertans in a number of areas of law including family, criminal, and civil.
Pro Bono Law Alberta
Low-income Albertans unable to obtain Legal Aid may be able to access one of the pro bono clinics or programs operating throughout Alberta.
Edmonton Community Legal Centre
Provides free legal services to low-income individuals in the areas of civil and administrative law.
Student Legal Services of Edmonton
A student-managed society dedicated to helping low-income individuals in Edmonton and area understand their legal issues and solve their legal problems.
Calgary Legal Guidance
Calgary Legal Guidance provides legal information, advice, and advocacy to disadvantaged Calgarians who would not otherwise have access to legal services. If you need legal information and advice, cannot afford a lawyer and do not qualify for Legal Aid, Calgary Legal Guidance may be able to help.
Student Legal Assistance
An association of law students at the University of Calgary providing free legal assistance to members of the public who are unable to afford legal services.
